Time in the pool at the hotel, we all enjoyed splashing around.
Just thought I would put our trip into words before the work week started up again. We left Sunday to go to Abilene so that we could take all the kids to the Zoo. We got to the motel around 4 or so and before we could hardly get the suburban unload and things put up the kids were begging to go to the pool. We went out side for a couple of hours and then back inside to clean up and get ready for supper and bed.
The next day we started out to the zoo early. Shaleigh's favorite animal was the giraffe, Katie the Zebras, Ham the monkeys, and little bit didn't pay that much attention. We got to feed the animals and the kids had so much fun seeing the different types of animals. We got back to Lubbock and got them unloaded and headed home.

Dance Recital 4/21/10
Well dance class at Happy ended with a dance recital held at the Happy High School. There were about 5-6 classes that were dance/cheer. Shaleigh's class was the strictly dance class 3-5 year old. The rest were mostly cheer with some dance mixed. It was interesting to see what the kids had been working on since the first of the semester. I was impressed and know that if she continues in the class (which I have no doubt that she will) she will come out of it being a good little cheerleader and dancer.
Her class they worked on teaching them the steps basically working on their coordination. Shaleigh did really good with just a few errors. However, at the recital the only thing I didn't like was that the little ones like Shaleigh were at the back of the class behind the taller and older ones. You couldn't hardly see them...so didn't get it videoed but did get some pictures.
After the rehearsal on Thursday they had their class pictures taken and some individual ones as well I will post them as soon as I get them.
I know I look forward to seeing how she progresses next year with one more year of dance/cheer before she moves up to the next older group. After the recital we rushed her into her T-Ball uniform and sent her, daddy, Dan on their way to the game which was canceled. That is okay the night was fun and she had a good time.

Playschool End of the Year Party 2010
Playschool wrapped down for the year and this year they took them to the park and just let them play. They had pizza, salad, and apples, then they played with bubbles, the park, and then the pinata. Boy could those kids swing a bat....most of them playing T-Ball helps. So out came the candy, and back to the park they went. We had a good time but we will miss Playschool.
Mission Friends End of the Year Program
Shaleigh has really enjoyed Mission Friends for the last couple of years. We were extremely lucky that they agreed to take her on last year even though she was younger than they normally accepted. It worked out great and this is her second year. She really has had fun learning about the different Missionaries this year. She is the youngest one in her class but she gives as good as she gets.
Playschool End of the Year Program 2010
Hey everyone we have had a very busy couple of weeks. Things are starting to wind down in Shaleigh's life right now. This program was done a our church where she goes to playschool at. They performed on Sunday night of last week for our church. I am so proud of her once again for learning all the songs she had to for her different programs.

4th Birthday Party
I was so glad to see that Shaleigh had a great turn out for her birthday. The kids starting showing up and they played every game we had planned. Many of them really like the sack races and did amazing jobs of crossing the finish line. At the end of the line were our local cheerleaders to help them celebrate crossing the line.
Of course many of them enjoyed the egg race as well...luck for us I made sure that they were hard boiled eggs so that all of them would have the opportunity to run in the race. There was also ring toss, Hula hoop races, and then after the gifts were opened out came the gifts of T-ball set and soccer goal which was set up promptly when the kids begged to play with them. All and all I would say that the party was a huge success. Thanks to all that helped and for those that came.
I know that there were about 11 kids that didn't get to come for one reason or the other and I know that they would have had a great time...maybe next year.
It is so hard to believe that we have had four wonderful loving years with Shaleigh and look forward to the many years that are ahead of us. It does help that she has loving family and some wonderful friends. The party was a success because of them.

FBC Preschool Choir Program Spring 2010
Well tonight we had Shaleigh's choir program for the Spring time. She did an awesome job. They are the youngest group of kids to sing. They had learned 3 songs and all the hand gestures that went with them. I am so proud of all that they have accomplished this term.
So without further ado....presenting the preschool choir....sorry I couldn't get the video to load. You will have to make do with the picture.
