Christmas Choir Program
I decided to participate in choir this year since it was the first time that it was offered to me. I have had so much fun doing this. I get to sing for fun and mommy is not always behind me saying Shaleigh can you give it a break. I have enjoyed choir and was able to participate in the Christmas Program this year. I was a baby angel. I loved it and mommy and daddy were so proud of me. Oh so was the rest of my family. Can I stress enough how much I love choir. And I did so good for the program....I knew my songs, and I only lost my halo once but my friends helped m,e put it back on.
Visit with Santa
Well we are into my 4th Christmas season and I am having so much fun. Mom and dad took me to see Santa at the Museum and we had our pictures taken with him. All I really want for Christmas (with a toy book in my hand) is a baby bed, baby doll, baby stroller. I have been really good Santa I promise just don't ask my mommy. I also want you to be good to my friends: Seth, Tate, Sadie, Hayden, Trinity, Kaylie, and Laynie.

Froggy outside today
It was so funny this morning while we were getting Shaleigh ready for playschool mom told her to hurry up and they would go outside and the fog. Shaleigh rushed through brushing her teeth, hair, and getting dressed so that she could see the frog.
When they finally made it outside mom tried to explain to her what the fog was.....that it is weather like thunder, lightening, snow......out of Shaleigh's mouth was I REALLY WANT SNOW GRANDMOM.
After we got her to school she ran up to her teacher and told her about how froggy it was outside and that is was like the thunder (did you hear the thunder this morning..there was none), snow (it really needs to snow). We really had fun this morning and her teacher agreed that it was indeed froggy outside.
Leave it to my daughter to turn fog into frog. She has such great excitment learning new things each and every day. She is such a joy and a pleasure to teach. Gotta love her.

Fishing Expedition
Daddy decided we needed to go fishing and spend the day together. So off to Ceta Canyon we went for the Walser Reunion. We hiked down to the tank (oh okay daddy carried me there). I pooped out way to soon. Once there you wouldn't believe what I found....FISH...no Nemos though. We had so much fun (especially when daddy would put my worm on my hook....eeewwww...no way I would do that). We just sat and fished away a couple of hours.
Luckily mommy was there to take our pictures. I would catch the little ones and he would catch the big ones. I do believe I out fished him that day by maybe one or two. Oh well we had fun and that is all that mattered. We had daddy and me time.
Playtime Everyday
Every day while mommy goes to work I go to grandmom's house for the day. Our day consists of laying in the dinning room (playroom) floor and playing with my dollhouse and barn. I got these for my 3 rd birthday from grandmom and granddad.
I'll tell you a secret I love my barn and animals better than my house. Especially when my animals run amuck and take over the house. What can I say they are wild animals.
If I'm a good girl for the day (usually when mommy, grandmom, and I go shopping) I get to go to Tractor Supply and get new animals. They have to come in pairs you see and they have branched out from basic farm animals into our wild section (zebras, ostriches, kangaroos...soon maybe I'll have elephants and bears). We spend hours sitting in the floor playing.
You see grandmom can't resist when I cock my head and say, "Will you please play with me." Which I say as soon as I come through the door. She just shakes her head and agrees. So begins the day of playing.
Remember 9/11
While on our way home from Lubbock on Saturday I noticed the flags were all out at Kidsville in Plainview. They represented 9/11 and had been on display since 9/11. I stopped for a walk through them with Shaleigh. Of course being the curious child that she is...she started asking questions. She wanted to know why they were there and like always I gave her the answer. I told her that in 2001 that our country feel under attack from terriorist and we lost many Americans. The flags stood to represent that day.
We just enjoyed walking through them and left to go on home. She is such a good kid and frustrating at times because sometimes I have to scramble to answer her questions.
Riding Bikes
Well today dad decided that him and Shaleigh needed to go and ride bikes. They left here and went toward the square, over to Chitty's, back by the grocery store to see Dan, to the bank for a sucker, and home. That totaled about 2 miles. And on top of that she didn't come back and go to sleep she lasted all day. Granddad took a nap when he got home. They had a blast and that was good. Sooner or later she will be riding the same distance as he does when he is by himself which is approximately 15 miles.
Just goes to show that I need to get my bike out and ride with her around town. She is so good to listen and watch for other cars coming. Besides I like suckers also. Why should she get them all. It is sad that when I go to the bank the tellers tell me that her and dad had been by for a visit and a sucker. It seems to make their day.
