My uncle Alan and his wife Lou finally retired from the City of Wichita Falls. He worked in the Parks and Recreation and Lou in the Water Department. They were honored with a reception that we were blessed to attend.
I'm sure that if you asked Uncle Alan and Lou if we were around a lot they would tell you no. Uncle Alan must have thought mom, Shaleigh, and I were rude and unsocialable. However; the true story unfolds at the reception. He did not know that Charles and Beth and the kids were going to be able to attend the reception. We had already made plans with Beth, Jennifer and the kids for lunch.
At the reception we all walked into gather and he understood why we were so busy and didn't have time to spend with him and Lou. Of course Lou knew that they were coming and helped get him away from the house while Beth pulled into town.
Just thought we would share some pictures of this special time in their lives and the pictures of the cousins together. I know that Shaleigh had a blast with her cousins and enjoyed the time spent with them.
Congratulations Uncle Alan and Lou on your retirement....enjoy the time you can now spend with family, friends, and each other.
