Well folks it has finally happened....Shaleigh is in Kinder. Yesterday was the first day of school, she jumped out of bed ran to get ready and then realized that the sun was not up yet. She asked me where it was and I told her she beat it up this morning. She was so excited. She got an awesome teacher Ms. Lopez and has one friend in her class. The rest of her playschool friends all got into another class. She misses being with them so much. I hope that it works out....

I can just see me going to the counselor....Shaleigh doesn't like coming to school because she isn't in the same class as her other friends. I will only approach the counselor if Shaleigh starts to suffer and can't learn. She is in a class mostly of Hispanics and the teacher teaches ESL so I hope she will still work with Shaleigh and Brooklyn. Lets hope this year turns out to be a great year.

We have so much extended family it is unbelievable. This is Mya she belongs to Kristie's side of the family who have adopted us as their own. This is the first time that we have had the chance to really get to know Mya even though her and Shaleigh are great friends.

We had them and Aunt Sandie down for a swimming party and they had so much fun it was amazing to see them having fun and laughing together. Mya lives in Dallas area and they only see each other at Christmas break.

This year they even went to Wonderland together which I don't believe we have ever taken Shaleigh to, the last time we went she was just a baby. They rode all the rides together so it was even more fun they had each other. The funnest part of the night was the Fantastic Journey (haunted house). They were okay with going in with Kori but after they got in the only pictures I have is of them covering their eyes. That is so funny to me and when we came out they were both crying. Guess they weren't big girls like they thought they were. They rode numerous rollercosters, water rides and ended up soaked, and all the kiddie rides together along with Kori and Dan. Sandie and I rode some rides but not all.

Swimming lessons began with a bang this year. It is our second year of lessons and she is doing so well. In fact now she does not even use floaties and she spent the biggest part of the time in the deep end. She has enjoyed going to lessons with her friends and enjoys being in the pool. I'm so proud of all that she has accomplished in the water.

This year she shared lessons with Cimmarron and her mom and Katilyn came almost everyday and Katilyn loved to entertain Cody when he would come. I enjoyed it more because Julia was there to talk to. Overall swimming lessons was a big hit again and look forward to many more years of swimming lessons. I want her to be a strong swimmer and we still have Cody to look forward to in future years.

Well this was interesting to say the least. During our picnic celebration we they had a Junior Ranch Rodeo at the square. We put a team together of 4 little girls: Shaleigh, Cimmarron, Katilyn, and Jolie. They all wore red shirts and was called the Cowgirl Divas. They were so much fun to watch and let me tell you they tackled every obstacle put in front of them. They had the cow milking: which is where you pull a chow across the line and milk them and run with the milk to the finish line; they had the cow doctoring: that is where you pull a cow across the finish line and put a mark on it; the cow branding: which is where you pull two cows across the line and brand them; and finally they had the barrel races. To say the least the girls were just a little to small to pull those wooden cutouts across the dirt, but to give them credit they did every event and got it accomplished. We were so proud of them even though they didn't win. That's okay with us they had a blast running around the corral and doing the events.
