I asked Shaleigh if she wanted to play baseball this year and she of course said yes.  So of course that meant I coached her team with the aide of Daniel Cates, who was the pitcher coach.  I choose the team the Orioles for our bunch.  I started out with 10 players and by the time of the tournament I was down one coach and 4 players.  

We had a good time playing this year and it was a challenge because some of our team had never played before and the rest had just come off of T-Ball and had to learn how to bat without a tee.  We had a lot of fun, but I'm beginning to think I need to retire as a baseball coach.  I guess we will decide that next year.  Now on to soccer in August.

Most of these girls met when they were 2 years old in FBC Playschool.  They have played together for 4 years together and have grown into good friends.  Trinity and her family are moving to L.A. and don't know if they will be back.  

The girls decided they wanted to have a going away party for Trinity to show her how much she will be missed.  They had it all planned all the parents had to do was pay for the pizza and us clean up the yard.  The kids all hit the pool after having supper at Pizza Hut.  The parents all sat around in the patio furniture and visited while Dan and I got in the pool with the girls.  

Everyone had so much fun but they will miss Trinity.  We wish them lots of luck in L.A. and hope they come back for some visits so that they girls can see Trinity.

Shaleigh participated in her 2nd summer of swimming lessons.  She has no fear while swimming and will try everything.  She learned how to dive this year and she loved jumping off of the board.  

Cody got to attend lessons and even got into the pool with Kori while Shaleigh was doing her lessons.  Love this town and the pool that will let Cody play while doing lessons.

Shaleigh attended our FBC VBS this year as a Kindergarten student....which meant that she got to march in with the other kids for the very first time.  She was so excited about being apart of the big kids finally and was even more excited to discover that Sally and Brooklyn were in her class.

They had fun learning new songs, sign language, and spent some time outside.  Cody attended his 2nd VBS as a nursery kid again with mom.  She always says that finally Shaleigh can go without me working and here comes Cody who she wants him to be able to go like Shaleigh did.  So she starts all over again with him.  

Cody has fun playing with the big kids and going outside to play with them.  He really seems to enjoy time with these kids and the workers who he spends every Sunday with including the preachers daughter Sara who tends to be bigger than him and thinks she can put him in his place.  He just walks of and does his own thing.
