Shaleigh participated in the Miss Tulia Pageant again this year.  She had so much fun because this year she had her best friend Lillie participating right along with her.  They had so much fun and did such a wonderful job. I was so proud of them both even though they did not place in their age divisions.  All that mattered to Shaleigh was having fun.

We had such a wonderful Easter celebrated with our family. The kids were so excited about egg hunts. We had one in Tulia, Lubbock, and then our family one. It was such a joy watching the kids run around after eggs and their laughter was so contagious. We wouldn't trade this time for anything in the world.

We have been so blessed to be able to have Lee and Kristie close enough to enjoy their kids. We treasure each moment we have with mom and dad and all the kids together.

Shaleigh's 6th Birthday Pictures

It is so hard to believe that my little diva is turning 6 in just a few weeks. I will never forget the day that the agency called and told me we had a little girl. I was so excited and burst out crying. I wanted a little girl so bad and had prayed for one for so long.

I have enjoyed watching her grow into the loving child that she is today. Yes she is head strong, stubborn, and such a joy and a blessing to our lives. I have watched her attend 3 years of playschool and enter into the school system and having a hard time finding something to occupy her during her Kindergarten year. She is such a smart child and is so bored, because she learned everything in playschool. She soaks everything up like a sponge and is a smart kid.

I have loved watching her learn about our Lord and loved her asking her uncle Lee what the Holy Ghost was...she is having a hard time understanding that one. This last year I have watched her walk across Texas, have fun races at 50's day, interact with a whole new set of kids, tackle a older class in dance/cheer, and gymnastics, also a new adventure in attending bible bowl at the Methodist church. She has gladly taken us along for the ride and I have treasured every step of it. I have watched her with her old friends and added new ones along with new teacher and new challenges.

I'm so proud of all that she has accomplished this year and look forward to many more in the future.

This is the 1st time that Cody has had the experience of looking for eggs. We attended his MDO's Easter party. They took the baby room out and they got to hunt for eggs. I took him by his hand and walked him around looking for eggs. I would point one out he would sit down and crawl over to it and pick it up. I would show him to put it in his bucket and he just looked at me...I think he wanted to play with them instead. He could hold one in each hand and bang them together.

I was lucky enough to get a picture of all his class together and of them hunting and some of the other kids in the Playschool classes having fun. We have the next 4 years of him having parties and having fun in this program and I look forward to it just as much as I looked forward to each of Shaleigh's parties while in Playschool and now into school.

Lucas's 2nd Birthday

Hey everyone, we were so blessed to be a part of this precious young man's life every since he was 8 months old. We will continue to be blessed since his adoption will be final on May 4. We have so enjoyed watching this young man grow into the fun loving child that he is. He knows that he is loved and that we all will be here for him forever, and he gained two amazing cousins in my kids. He blends in so well with our small family that still has so many opportunities to grow by leaps and bounds. So our sweet Lucas this is a post for you. Love ya lots......
